Home of Michael Jordan and Joe Gibbs, Charlotte is a place that encourages excellence and has grown to become one the most popular places for people to travel to and live.
History:
Charlotte North Carolina began as most cities in the United States did, as a mostly agricultural place that specialized in tobacco and cotton. However, after a 17-lb golden nugget was found in 1799, many people flocked to the city to see what else they could find with the early beginning of the Gold Rush.
Although the “Gold Rush” eventually moved to California where it became more popular, this started the development of a much more commercial Charlotte that has changed into what it is today. With the headquarters of both Bank of America and Wachovia located here, it is the second largest banking center in the U.S. In additional to the commercial presence here in Charlotte, you can find many other attractions and forms of entertainment that people come from all over the country to see!

Charlotte has everything from Museums and festivals, to an incredible Amusement park and much more. In Charlotte, there are a total of 9 Museums to visit, each one giving its own unique history to the city. The Charlotte Museum of History is perhaps the most important to the city itself because it houses many important exhibits that highlight Charlotte and American History.
